Gracie Barra Riverton is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school currently under construction in Riverton, Utah, serving Riverton, Herriman, Daybreak, South Jordan, Bluffdale, Draper, and surrounding areas. This new school will join the Gracie Barra family, one of the world’s largest BJJ organizations. They’ll be offering classes for everyone, from young kids to adults, and beginners to seasoned practicioners. A new BJJ school in Utah
Gracie Barra Riverton will open its door very soon. The aim is to bring the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes to Riverton and surrounding areas, such as Herriman, Daybreak, South Jordan, Bluffdale, Draper, and surrounding areas, enhancing their health with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which is the best martial arts for self-defense available nearby.

Red Shield Founders and inauguration
The very first 50 students who signed up for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes at Gracie Barra Riverton will receive the title of Red Shield Founders and enjoy some special benefits. From the beginning, the school will offer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for kids and adults, followed by women’s only BJJ and self-defense classes.
What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is by far the best martial art for self defense purposes. Based on leverage, Jiu-Jitsu teaches grappling techniques to obtain control over an opponent or aggressor. The “Gentle Art” focuses on immobilizing and applying submissions by attacking the joints and neck.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches a wide variety of techniques. Often compared to a game of human chess, BJJ will require you to utilize your entire body as well as your mind to gain dominance over your training partners. No matter your level there, is always something new to learn. It is a sport that pushes creativity and strategy.
